Made with pristine water
Ensuring water purity is crucial in crafting premium spirits.
Amrut Distilleries differentiates itself through its dedication to quality, by sourcing all the water that meets the barley from aquifers that are deep underground and filtered through porous rock layers. This distinctive method guarantees the production of single malts is achieved using only the purest water.

And top quality ingredients
Amrut’s Single Malt whisky is made from 6-row barley grown in India, at the foothills of the Himalayas. This barley has a more robust flavor than 2-row barley.
For Amrut Peated, the distillery meticulously selects 2-row barley peated in Scotland to their exact specifications, ensuring that the high quality standards are met even from thousands of miles away.
With each sip, whisky enthusiasts can savor the rich heritage and innovative spirit that defines Amrut's commitment to producing world-class single malt whiskies.
during a long fermentation process
Amrut's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation is evident in its production process.
Amrut utilizes a slow distillation method to create malt spirits and undergoes fermentation for over 140 hours, a duration that stands out as one of the longest in the industry.
under unique conditions
Research conducted in Scotland revealed that single malt whisky, matured in Bangalore, India, ages around 3.5 times faster than whisky aged in Scotland. This accelerated aging process is attributed to Bangalore's altitude of 3000 ft above sea level and the consistent temperature of 78 degrees F that yields an annual angel's share of 12%.
If an average Amrut Whisky is aged for 4.5 years in Bangalore, it attains the flavor and texture similar to a Scotch whisky aged in Scotland for 12 to 15 years.
To date, Amrut has created over 40 distinct single malt variations.
